Nutrient Dense-Properly Prepared Whole Foods Diet

Let’s talk about food!!

Let’s talk about food!!

Nutritional Therapy is based on a "Properly Prepared & Nutrient Dense Diet". Now, please notice I don't suggest; Keto, Paleo, AIP, etc. As each of those vary on each person, as Nutritional Therapy is 100% Bio-Individual. Meaning, what might work for one person, may not work for another.

How to Prepare Food Properly.

  • Eat Some foods Raw

  • Cook some foods to Maximize Nutrition

  • Cookware - This is a big one! And is super easy! Swap out your Teflon pots & pans, aluminum/copper pots and pans, plastic storage containers, wrap, bags, bottles, etc. And use; Cast iron, stainless, ceramic coated pots and pans. And use glass or stainless storage containers and bottles.

  • Prepare Nuts, Seeds and Grains Properly. Soak and Sprout them!

  • Eat Mindfully (Refer to my blog post on mindful eating).

What is a Nutrient Dense Meal?

The balance of your Macro/Micro Nutrient Needs;
What are Macro-Nutrients & Mirco-Nutrients you might ask. Your Marco-nutrients; are Protein, fat & Carbohydrates and Micro-nutrients; are vitamins & minerals. We need a mix of all of these to stay healthy! Step in whole foods! It might be intimidating at first, so my recommendation to start this transition is, if you must buy pre-made products to try to limit the ingredients to 5 or less.
