Not Dad's Pickled Onions/Cucumbers!

Growing up I remember my Dad was always snacking on pickled onions and cucumbers. The smell was awful! I'm not sure if it was because back then.. when we talked about Apple Cider Vinegar most were using Heinz ACV. Which smells awful. Don't worry if you're still using it, you still have time to swap out with the ACV with the "mother" and loaded with health benefits!


Here's a simple & fail proof Quick Pickled Cucumbers & Onions! A perfect Real Food Snackie!

1 Large Cucumber - slightly peel.
1/4 ‐1/2 of a sweet onion
Handful of dill chopped
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp coconut sugar * optional but makes it soooooo good
2 Tablespoons ACV with the "Mother"

Slice onion & cucumber with a mandolin if you have one. Approx 1/8 thick.
Place in a jar top with dill. Meanwhile mix - ACV, sea salt and sugar mix well and drizzle on top cucumber mixture! Let sit at room temp for 1-2 hours. Enjoy!! Keeps well in fridge for 2-3 days. Great for camping as well. Goes well alone, on tacos, with salmon and crackers with hummus.
