My love for grocery shopping!
Food!
My 3 greatest loves in life; Outdoors, food & animals. In no certain order.
I recently talked in my stories about how much I love grocery shopping and so many people gave me a shout out that they also love grocery shopping and some others also were a nah.
So let’s try to fix those Nah’s into YES Girl I love grocery shopping!!
I want to dive into that for a few days as I will show you how my brain works with hitting the grocery store!
Find a grocery store you LOVE. I personally love my local Co-op. It’s slow paced, they have the foods I love, I appreciate that there is reduced use of plastics and a beautiful bulk section. I personally struggle at Trader Joe’s because it is so busy, by the time I enter the store I feel stressed out and forget why I came. I also think it is really important to go to the store with TIME!! Yes, Mamas I know you don’t always have time and it is stressful to shop with a little one. Still, how can we make it fun? Or how can you take some burden off you from the stress? Find a store that is accommodating to your life. Your life is a bet hectic find something a tad slower.
My thoughts on local stores!
Local Co-op; slow paced, lots of local produce and meat options. Well organized.
Fred Meyer; using a tad busy but I love their options for organic produce
Albertson’s; Hey Idaho- Your Albertson’s store are lovely! Great organic options, and really cater to local options.
Trader Joe’s; Lots of great options for quick, easy and healthy options for the busy human. (Uses too much plastic for me, parking lots are stressful and the store itself is too busy for me).
Whole Foods; Also great options for quick, easy and healthy options for the busy human. I like Whole Foods for picking up more snacks, pastas and such. I haven’t found the produce section my favorite.
Safeway; a safe, easy and accessible option for most; like Fred Meyer and Alberston’s. organic produce
Farmer’s Market! When your local farmer’s market is open. I highly suggest shopping at your local farmer’s market. Local and fresh produce, meat and eggs. Take time to ask your farmer questions and get to them. I personally love connecting with my local community through the farmers market. Downfall might be is it is a tad more challenging, as you may not always find what we are looking for, the upside of that is hopefully it will encourage the creative being inside you to step outside of your comfort zone in the kitchen!!
Are you struggling to find a grocery store you love? Or does grocery shopping stress you out? Or maybe you just want some help navigating the grocery store. I would LOVE to help you!!
